It also finds applications as a molecular sieve desorption agent, extraction solvent, artificial ice-making medium, low-temperature thermometer fluid, insecticide, anesthetic, and lubricant for liquid air machines.
With a narrow boiling range, uniform composition, and rapid evaporation, this pentane blend excels as a propellant in aerosols, a blowing agent in foams, and a reaction medium in chemical processes such as polymerization.
