n-Hexane, 50%, CAS No. 110-54-3

n-Hexane, 50%, CAS No. 110-54-3

n-Hexane, 50% min. assay, CAS 110-54-3. Known in the trade as extraction solvent oil, used as a leaching solvent for edible oilseed processing and as a diluent in general adhesive manufacturing. Available in steel drums or ISO tank containers.

Description

Product Overview

n-Hexane at 50% min. assay is tested against ASTM and EN ISO methods for density, distillation range, benzene content, and corrosion properties, with strict benzene (≤100 wt ppm) and sulphur (≤1 mg/kg) limits. It is commonly supplied as a 45–50% mixed hexane fraction — referred to in the trade as extraction solvent oil — for oilseed leaching, alongside use in adhesive dilution and crude natural-product extraction.

Applications

  • Edible oil extraction (grain & oilseed processing): leaching solvent for soybean, rapeseed, peanut, and sunflower seed oil extraction — commonly a 45–50% mixed hexane fraction known as “extraction solvent oil”
  • Natural products & flavor/fragrance extraction: animal fat processing and crude extraction of non-food-grade botanical flavors and fragrances
  • General adhesive manufacturing: diluent for everyday glues, sealants, and double-sided tape adhesive backing

Packaging

  • 130 KG Steel Drums (net weight)
  • ISO Tank Containers: 15.5 MT / 25 CBM or 16.3 MT / 26 CBM
