Why is sulfiding necessary?
Without sulfiding, the catalyst remains inactive and cannot drive hydrodesulfurization (HDS) or hydrodenitrification (HDN) reactions. Proper sulfiding ensures the catalyst achieves full activity and longevity, preventing deactivation and maintaining fuel quality standards (sulfur <10 ppm).
