Description

Pentane 85/15 blowing agent is a blend of n-Pentane 85% and Isopentane 15%. This is a specialty ratio outside the standard F1–F9 grid, produced to meet specific customer formulation requirements.

– Expandable Polystyrene (EPS): primary physical blowing agent for EPS block molding, packaging shapes, and insulation boards
– Aerosol propellant
– Electronic cleaning solvent

– Chemical composition: n-Pentane (CAS 109-66-0) 85%, Isopentane (CAS 78-78-4) 15%
– Total Pentane purity: ≥ 98%
– Density (20°C): 615–630 kg/m³
– C4 and below light components: ≤1%
– C6 and above recombinant fractions: ≤1%

– UN Number: UN 1265 (Pentanes, liquid)
– Hazard Class: Class 3 Flammable Liquid, Packing Group I
– Packaging: ISO Tank (25–26 m³, net capacity approximately 14.7–15.5 MT)

Every shipment of this pentane blend is accompanied by a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis, verifying actual test results against the specifications listed above. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) covering handling, storage, and transport requirements are available on request prior to order confirmation.
